The Origins and Production of Cactus Leather
Cactus leather was developed by Mexican entrepreneurs Adrián López Velarde and Marte Cázarez, who sought to create a sustainable alternative to animal leather that would minimize environmental impact. Mexico, with its abundant nopal cactus, provided the perfect raw material for their innovation.
The production process of cactus leather involves several key steps:
