These pads are reasonably comfortable, but our testers noted that they have experienced softer options with Avni and EcoFemme. These are convenient in emergencies, as they come with their cloth storage bags and can be used when your period starts or if you are spotting.

Absorption

Despite the claims on the packaging, these pads do not have high absorbency. They last no more than three hours and tend to leak and stain on heavy flow days. They are best suited for low-flow days, such as the first or last day of your period, and can also be used for spotting on ovulation days. These are great if you want a second layer of protection with menstrual cups or period panties.

PeeSafe reusable cloth sanitary pads currently come in two variants – the 3 regular + 1-night pad kit and the 6 regular and 2-night pad kit. You can choose what works best for you based on your regular period flow.

Odour

These pads have an odour, but it is much less noticeable than other brands and not as pungent or overwhelming, even when soaked. While the odour is a very subjective measure, our testers generally preferred these pads as a secondary layer of protection primarily because the odour was much milder.

Cleaning & Maintenance

PeeSafe pads are among the easiest to clean and maintain, as stains wash off easily and do not persist. There is no lingering odour, and the pads are clean after washing and drying in the sun. They retain their softness even after being washed by hand with soap or soap powder, unlike some other cotton-based pads that become slightly rough after washing.

This is one of the most affordable eco-friendly solutions for your period. Priced between Rs. 450 and Rs. 1000 for the two kits, these pads offer a highly economical option for a reusable product. Over time, they can save you a significant amount of money compared to disposable alternatives.
